She works with many sample wedding gowns, and is always willing to find a way to make the needed alteration "work." She enjoys working with antique or heirloom gowns, including re-sizing, re-styling, and repairing as needed. Kirsten has done dozens of bustles (see right), no two exactly the same, and enjoys customizing the look of your gown to your taste and style. Alterations can cost anywhere from $250 to $500, depending on the style and dress materials, and how labor-intensive the required work is. Most alterations run about $300 and take around a month. Your initial appointment should be two months before your wedding date. Especially during peak bridal season (March to September), it's best to call at least a month in advance to make your appointment. By appointment only, from 10 to 4 Tuesday through Saturday: (650) 346-0463.
