Kirsten is a talented designer with a background in Theatre Arts. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Costume Design from New York University and has worked in many professional costume shops nationally, including as First Hand in the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. Her theatrical training and personal interest in Costume History give her designs wide-ranging inspiration. She is as adept at corseted Renaissance costume as at bias-cut 30's gowns, and can adapt these influences to contemporary lines. She draws on extensive resources including her private library of costume history, bridal, and evening wear books.

Kirsten uses her years of experience constructing costumes to ensure that every garment is a perfect fit, the proportion and cut are the most flattering, and the finishing is detailed and beautiful. She uses a combination of theatrical and couture sewing techiniques, and insists on the highest standards.

Kirsten works from a private studio in San Mateo conveniently located near Highways 101 and 92.
